Using the max Snatch and max clean and jerks found in our database of 160+ major competitions, we have put together what the competition olympic total is for 55 of the 80 games atheltes. The remaining 25 did not have a record of a Clean and Jerk, including notable names like Christine Kolenbrander and Jack Farlow.

Using the 2023 CrossFit Games athletes scores in the Semifinals we re-ran a Semifinal leaderboard scoring the athletes against each other using the 2023 CrossFit Games Scoring Table. This was calculated from the Competition Preview Event Comparison Report is viewable under the Super Fans tab.

In what CrossFit games appearances to athletes break out, and show us their true potential? To dive into this, I looked at all athletes who have finished in the top 10 as an individual at the CrossFit Games since 2017. This amounted to 56 athletes over 6 CrossFit Games seasons.

A look at 5 athletes who could finish at the top of the leaderboard, but could also finish outside of the cutline.

The CrossFit Open is over. While I still believe that in general the Open doesn't play a significant role in determining the Fittest on Earth as the elite athletes can qualify for Quarterfinals in their sleep, I do think there are story lines that emerge in the CrossFit Open that are worth following for the year.

With 23.3 bringing back Wall Walk Events, we pulled a list of athlete finish from Wall Walk events from major competitions

When the results for week 2 of the Open started rolling in, there were a lot of unfamiliar names at the top of the week 2 events. In the past there has been some chatter on how the lifts skew results, so I wanted to see how many of the big lifts were from true contenders in the CrossFit Open, vs how many just the really strong people at the gym.

We took a look at 11 athletes from 23.1 and compared their rowing times round the first 60 cals to the second 60 cals.

In a 3 week open, we wanted to see if there is a week gives the best in the business room to separate themselves from the really really fit people we work out beside on a day to day basis.

As season 3 of the Semifinal era kicks off, I wanted to see if there are trends in Open results that allow us to find a CrossFit Games rookie based on their finish. In order to spot a trend I looked at the 2021 and 2022 Open results from the 26 CrossFit Games Rookies from the 2022 season.

Laura Horvath is on of the top CrossFit athletes in the world. She has been on the podium the last two years at the CrossFit Games, and has won multiple competitions the past two season.
That said, she finds her self consistently in the bottom of the standings of Handstand Push Up events. The question is, does it matter at all?
